Race fans at the British F3/GT meeting at Brands Hatch in Kent on July 14/15 will be put in the picture when they will be able to see previous race footage, profiles on teams and drivers and episodes of Five and Nick Jr’s hit pre-school TV show Roary the Racing Car®.
The partnership between SRO and Outdoor Interactive (Oi) will deliver the UK’s first interactive LED screen in the race paddock at select events throughout 2007.
The LED interactive screen will add an impressive physical presence to the race paddock, providing the fans with exciting and original entertainment.
SRO Partnership Manager Mike Grime commented, ‘We’ve been working on ways to improve the on-event fan experience to accompany our fantastic racing, and having partnered with Oi the fans look set to benefit from some exciting interactive technology that will bring to life our Championships in a whole new light.’ He continued, ‘We’re delighted that our Championships, and importantly the fans, will have a new entertainment dimension added to their race day experience.’
Oi Marketing Director Ifeanyi Asiodu explained, ‘Our systems allow fans, spectators, sponsors and event planners to communicate in real-time before, during and after the event. We believe participation is everything and we look forward to engaging with fans from British F3 International and British GT.’
Don’t miss the chance to see the LED Screen in action at Brand Hatch, where a special screening of the new children’s cartoon sensation Roary the Race Car will be broadcast. Be sure to check www.britishf3international.com and www.britishgt.com for the latest race info.
