Asmer Makes Best Use of the Tricky Test Conditions
Newly crowned British F3 Champion Marko Asmer made the best of the difficult track conditions at Rockingham to post the best time in the damp morning session, while Maro Engel went quickest in the afternoon. Asmer posted a 1m16.901, 2.1 seconds ahead of second fastest driver John Martin, with Sebastian Hohenthal just 0.125 behind the Australian.
The afternoon session was completely wet with Asmer posting a 1m29.437, 1.357 seconds quicker than Maro Engel and a further 0.222 seconds quicker than Jonathan Kennard.
In the National Class, 2007 Champion Sergio Perez was quickest in the morning session but Richard Singleton, driving in his first BF3 weekend with Promatecme, set the quickest time in the wet.
